Ping G400 Fairway Wood
With the G400 fairway woods, Ping’s goal was to create more ball speed to help players hit the ball farther while keeping each club easy to hit. Featuring many of the same technologies found in the all-new G400 Drivers, the PING G400 Fairway Woods offer players a thin, lightweight crown and a machined backweight. Its optimised CG and increased MOI owe credit to a combination of new advancements, and it boasts an aerodynamic adjustable hosel (+/- roughly 1 degree) and a new face texture for improving distance and reducing spin.
Ping brought in C300 maraging steel for the face material (which you might remember from the days of Orlimar Golf) in the G400 fairway woods to increase distance and launch angle in concert with the 17-4 stainless steel head. The Ping G400 fairway woods are available in 3- (14.5 degrees) and 5- (17.5 degrees).
Ping G400 Fairway Wood Features:
The club head has a low leading edge, with bold turbulators on the crown to increase airflow for faster club head speed, elevate your ball flight and confidence from any distance.
Thinnest Crown & Cascading sole
To save more weight for increased MOI and optimized CG location, PING have developed the fairway with an Ultra-Thin 17-4 Stainless Steel Crown. Plus features a cascading sole that engages at point of impact to increase face flex for improved launch conditions.
Maraging Steel Face
Maraging steel is an ideal face material to deliver faster ball speeds that launch shots farther, higher and straighter. This material is one of strongest and most flexible alloys in the world, providing increased performance on the golf course.
